The koru and mangōpare patterns running through these jorts were designed by our father, a Māori artist who has worked in pounamu, sculpture and jewellery his entire life. The mangōpare, the hammerhead shark, represents strength and resilience. The koru represents new beginnings, growth, the start of something. Both are woven through every pair.
